Birthday Outfit

Image
-Top: Ross - Skirt: Old Navy (old) - Sandals: Target - Belt: Gap (old)  -Earrings: Target (tiny owls!) - Watch: Fossil I'm not really sure about this outfit. I think the denim skirt combined with the top made the whole thing a little too rustic. I really love this shirt though, and I will pair it with something better next time. It was only 5.49 at Ross! My Mom was sweet enough to take the above pictures, and my sister took the one below. Also I really need to stop wearing these shoes so much! Mom took this picture too, and I believe Sean was about to eat dirt. Silly boy! Oh yeah, I'm 25 now!

Floral Fun

-Dress and Blouse: Kohl's - Sandals: Target - Purse: Nine West via Ross - Watch: Fossil Took this picture of a lily and then edited it Close up of my dress and purse I forced the hubby (on Father's Day no less) to stop on the side of the road to take some outfit pictures.  Although this spot looks fairly secluded, it's actually in front of the house next to my in-law's property, and after only a few shots had been taken we spotted a car coming down the driveway. Naturally I hoisted up my purse and darted for our car. That is what you can see beginning to happen in the picture below. Yes, I'm a chicken! Anyway, as for the outfit, I tied an old top over and old dress and called it a day!

June 19th - Bittersweet

No idea who the three on the left are, but my Dad is the hunk on the right! My dad passed away in 2004, and although it's awful being without him and we miss him all the time, as Christians we know he's waiting for us in heaven and we'll see him again someday! He was a Godly, loving, wonderful dad and it will be a wonderful reunion and we'll celebrate all the missed events in the years that have passed since we've been together.   This year I get to celebrate Father's Day in a different way than I have in the recent years, because it's my husband's first one as a dad! Ryan has been the most amazing father ever since the very first time he held Sean on August 2, 2010. I love seeing Sean run to the door with his arms up when his daddy gets home from work. I love seeing Sean being rocked to sleep for his nap time in his daddy's arms. I love hearing Sean's giggles when his daddy is tickling him. I love getting up at night to cover Sean only t...

Week Six

Image
Turkey burger with Havarti cheese, romaine lettuce, onions and cherry tomatoes on an Oroweat sandwich thin Corn, refried beans, onion, and cilantro salsa Mixed veggie chips Cranberry juice diluted with water Herb crusted chicken breast Mashed potatoes with gravy Steamed green beans New Weight: 143 So that's a weight loss of one pound this week. (12 since starting this blog) I knew I would see a smaller number this week due to last week's three pound weight loss, but I'm content with it! It's still progress in the right direction! My husband lost half a pound this week, which he was happy with because he thought he had gained!  The above pictures are two meals I made this week for dinner, I included them to show a sample of what I'm cooking and eating. I'm trying to have my protein serving be about the size of a deck of cards and have veggies be the majority of the plate. I kind of failed on that in the first pic, since veggie chips don't reall...

Helmets and Ice Cream Cakes

Image
(Picture taken on another day) We saw Sean's orthotist today to check out his progress with the helmet. All is going well and Sean's cute little head is rounding out in the right places. The little guy behaved perfectly as his head measurements were taken and won everybody's hearts over with his smiles, as usual. He did however eat the tape measure afterwards, or at least put it in his mouth.   Later we ran by the mall to order my birthday cake from Marble Slab Creamery. Oreo cookies, cookie dough, sweet cream ice cream... you really can't go wrong with that! Yum!  Vroom Vroom! Riding on Daddy's shoulders These last two are from Tuesday, when we went to the park late in the evening to beat the heat.

Anchors Aweigh!

- Sunglasses: Target - Top: Target - Pants: Kohl's Flip Flops: Academy - Purse: Target - Watch: Fossil -Bracelets: ??? (old) -Ring: JCPenney It was another scorcher of a day today, and this outfit was perfect for running errands without melting. Sunglasses, hair up, tee, white pants and flip flops! Done! Camera wasn't cooperating with the hubby though, and the pics came out rather blurry. Seems a shame to follow my last post with this one, but as a casual mom I am more often dressed like this than in heels and a skirt! I really appreciate everyone's sweet comments on that EBEW lace post of mine though, and my two new followers as well! Welcome!
