Egg-Free Chocolate Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

First I cut up three squares of Baker's semi-sweet chocolate. You can use chocolate chips too but I didn't have any around.

Next step was to measure out all of my ingredients. We have applesauce, brown and white sugar on the left, oatmeal and raisins in the middle, and flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon on the right.

Then I mixed together the chocolate, oatmeal and raisins. Doesn't that look tasty already?

Then I added my applesauce mixture to my dry ingredients, before combining it with my oatmeal mixture.

Lastly I formed small cookies and placed them on a greased cookie sheet.

Here are the cookies straight out of the oven. They didn't change much!

Last step: NOM NOM NOM!
I adapted this healthy cookie recipe to make these slightly less healthy cookies (I added chocolate). Sean's allergic to eggs so that's why I went with an egg-free recipe. You think he liked them?

(I think so!)

  1. LOL, YUM! He loves them!

These remind me of Treasure Cookies I like to make around the Holidays. They aren't egg-free, but just sayin'. haha Thanks for sharing!

  2. Ohhh treasure cookies, I like the name of those! I think these ones could have benefited from some butter, but they were still really good!
