Week 15, 16 and 17.

Eek I'm so behind on these weight loss updates! Here goes!

New Weight:

137

Two pounds down. I'll take it! (But honestly it's just 'cuz I didn't eat anything yesterday because I had really bad food poisoning. Hopefully I can keep the pounds off even after easing into eating again.)

Insanity Update:
I've failed colossally with keeping up with Insanity the last few weeks. I'm still trying to exercise several times a week, and sometimes I do an Insanity workout but I'm not doing the day to day schedule anymore. I don't know whether I want to be strict about finishing month 2 or not. Some of the routines are fun, but I find myself resting so much that I feel I'm just wasting time. We'll see what I decide to do.

Here is the next rule from Bethenny Frankel's book.

"Check yourself before you wreck yourself."

I'm supposed to be getting ready to go on a date with Ryan, (Yes I'm still going despite being so sick yesterday!) so I won't go into much detail about this rule. Basically STOP BINGING! You hurt yourself by binging and you won't feel you need to do it in the first place if you just eat regular healthy meals and indulge now and then. If somehow you're depressed or feeling out of control and you have a burger and then feel like eating a ton of fries, a coke, ice cream, candy, etc. Stop right there! Check yourself before you wreck yourself.  Stop yourself BEFORE you binge. Bethenny explains that everyone overeats once in a while for whatever reason, but binging is something you should never do. You feel guilty and sick after binging and you consume WAY more calories than you should.
If I ever feel like I just want to raid the fridge or eat everything in the pantry, I try to distract myself and do something to keep me busy instead. Also Bethenny says that binging might be caused by deprivation, so don't do any crazy diet that has you starving yourself! Make the right food choices so you won't set yourself up for failure. Last little note: if you have eaten too much and you feel bloated and nasty try turning to melons, asparagus, cucumbers, apple cider vinegar, or celery to flush the water out of your system! These foods are all natural de-bloaters.

Alrighty, off I go. Have a wonderful long weekend everyone!

  1. I need to read this book! I'm so into reading and stuffing my head full of little subconscious authors telling ms right from wrong. :) sorry you were sick, but glad you're on the mend, if not all better now!
