Maxi Dress: Day to Night Friday's Fancies




I'm going to make this short because we have a friend over and I'm in the middle of watching a movie! For this week's Friday's Fancies our topic was maxi dresses. I wanted to do something a little different this time and show how to transition your maxi dress from day to night with just a few simple changes. To make the day look more casual I added a canvas vest, low wedges and a roomy bag. To take the dress over into an evening look I switched to a higher shoe, (adorable peep-toe booties) and a small clutch. I also added an amazing statement necklace. In both looks I included touches of leopard and leather for a bit of edge! Incidentally I did NOT try to stick to a reasonable budget for this creation. That necklace is 752 dollars and the dress is 555! Ridiculous prices but beautiful pieces! If you want something more affordable in this look, the vest is from Old Navy and only 35 dollars. Everything else is over-priced in my opinion, but I was just having some fun! Click on the image below and vote for this twofer outfit if you like it!
